Landscape Fabric and Edging
At Dvorak's we carry a full line of Landscape Fabric including: 2 oz. and 3 oz. spunbound fabrics and 8 oz. needle punched fabric (used by the professionals). Sizes from 3’ to 12’, buy it by the roll or by the lineal foot. We will cut it to the length you need!
Stronghold Landscape Fabrics
We carry several different styles and weights of fabric (geotextiles) for you to choose from. These fabrics can be used for:
Weed Barrier
• Stops approximately 95% of weeds
• Lets air, water, and fertilizer pass through to plant roots
• Saves time (no more weeding)
Filter Fabric
• Protects native soil and silt from clogging septic systems
• Drainage protection to maintain percolation
• Prolongs life of septic drain fields and drainage pipes
• Proven alternative to graded aggregate or sand filters
Soil Separator/Stabilization
• Mulch, sand, decorative stone and aggregate will not migrate into sub base
• Aggregate or sand base can be reduced
• Prevents ground shifting, cracking, buckling, and heaving increasing the life of your patio or walkway
The fabric (geotextile) performance depends upon your application. Some of our competitors may have lead you to believe fabrics have 3 year, 10 year, 15 year etc., longevity, however, the only thing that will deteriorate these fabrics are UV rays. All of these fabrics, if installed and maintained correctly, will be permanent. These fabrics are highly resistant to insecticides, pesticides, fertilizer, acid and alkaline while still allowing air, water, and nutrients to pass through.
Polyspun Series Fabrics
In this series there are three different weights. These spunbonded nonwoven fabrics are made form 100% Polyester and are thermally bonded. No chemical binders or additives are required. Not only are these fabrics recyclable, but contain up to 85% recycled fiber content. In addition, any polyester waste that is produced is automatically recycled into the manufacturing process. This unique design is easy to cut, maintains its shape and will not fray, providing you with unsurpassed quality and performance. Polyester also has built in UV inhibitors so if the material does get exposed to the sun, it will hold up longer than polypropylene and also provides excellent water permeability.
